Also because I am taking a brief break from my Religion reading. Will be back to comment and converse shortly.

In the meanwhile, the comment-fic I'm posting over at [profile] who_otp's Drabble Tag is going here, for the sake of organization. Watch this space in the event that I ever do more, which is somewhat unlikely as I don't really know how to write most of the pairings people have requested. Which is a shame, because some of them are really quite tempting.

Also, in my class reader, I'm pretty certain that Augustin of Hippo just analogized religion and fandom. Hee.

Or morning. Whatever.

Anyway, I was rewatching Claws of Axos again, and this little drabble crawled into my head, made big puppy eyes, and asked me to give it a home. So I figured I could at least afford it the dignity of being posted.

Hurrah for my first foray into Classic!Who!fic. Drabbles do too count.

ETA: The text might show up gray, because my format fails. Just highlight it if it does; it should be normal when viewed in my format.

Title: Any Moment Now
Fandom: Doctor Who
Characters: Third Doctor, The Master, Jo Grant
A/N: Erm...I'm not sure what the situation would be for this. Feel free to imagine your own. Also, I am not entirely certain that my made-up TARDIS mechanics are accurate, canonical, or make any sense. Suggestions are appreciated.

I have my homework done on time, I have everything packed, it's looking like I might finally get some sleep...and then I stay up late writing.

I also blame my writing for how badly I did on that take-home Bio quiz. How was I supposed to answer questions in my distracted state?

So I might as well post what it was that kept me up this late, right? Right.

The 250-word Writing Meme, shamelessly thieved from [personal profile] eponymous_rose.

The rules!

1. There are no rules. (Yay!)
2. Pick five fandoms.  List them in alphabetical order.

1. CSI: Las Vegas
2. CSI: Miami
3. CSI: New York
4. Doctor Who (old and new)
5. Law & Order (TOS)

3. Visit this site to find your first RANDOM POEM OF POWER.  Write down the 5th line (yes, even if it's an E.E. Cummings poem and you wind up with an apostrophe).  Repeat five times and - you guessed it - list 'em in alphabetical order!

4. I think you can see where this is going.  Write a very quick 50-word half-drabble for each fandom (try to do it all in one sitting - make your brain explode!), using the line from the poem as a prompt.  You don't have to include it in the half-drabble - it's just inspiration.

5. Bravo!  Have a cookie.

100 whole words. Ain't you proud of me?

A slightly longer version of this is up on [profile] lawandorder100.

My very first day back at school, and I celebrate by staying up with a plot bunny that I didn't sedate fast enough.

No wait I swear there was a reason. See, I'd been sleeping late over Thanksgiving break, so I figured the best way to make sure I didn't sleep through my math class again was to stay awake all night. Can't sleep through class if you weren't asleep to begin with, right?

I promise it all makes sense. And besides, I had (unwisely) taken a nap upon getting back to my dorm, so my sleep schedule was already crap.

Picspam of my pretty pretty short hair coming soon. For now, I present you with a ficlet that snuck up on me so abruptly it's not even on the list.

(Hell, I'm not even entirely certain it's finished, but it felt finished to me.)

This was supposed to be a double drabble. That didn't quite work out.

Also, the text is white because my LJ layout is stupid and I should just change it already.

Dammit, watching that scene still makes me all teary. This show is doing bad things to me, guys. Possibly even worse then my sudden inexplicable love for Jon Pertwee, but that's another entry right there.

Finally finished this House ficlet while driving home; figured I should post it.

And yes, it's way too brief to be worth that much effort and time.

I am physically incapable of staying on a schedule. It just doesn't happen.

Anyway, this started out as a drabble for [profile] lawandorder100, but the Criminal Intent finale was just so good that I had to write just a bit more. Heck, I might even expand it further should inspiration strike.

Incidentally, I loved this season finale. Loved it loved it loved it. Reviews almost done.

RL note: I'm starting my job next week. I'm learning my commute route. It's almost June. When did this happen and how do I make it stop?

Title: A Shape They Recognized
Fandom: Law and Order: Criminal Intent
Words: 234
A/N: Spoilers for the season finale, which this drabble takes place a week or two after. Logan-centric.

This may even meander its way over to ff.net.

I really should do that RL update I keep promising at some point

It goes a little something like this:

1. Over breakfast, get what seems like a good idea for the "Time" challenge over at [profile] lawandorder100. Note it for later writing purposes.
2. Discover that Time Challenge is already closed. Grumble.
3. Attempt to return to Biology homework, only to find that drabble is poking you in the ribs and asking to be written.
4. Grumble some more. Spend too much time on drabble.
5. Realize that, because you're not submitting this, you're no longer bound by the 100-word limit. Go buck wild on wordcount.
6. Post ficlet. Feel productive. Attempt to go back to work.
