Summary: Dr. Rodgers had a long memory.

“Liz, we can talk about this.”
 
“No, we can’t, Lennie. You’ve had this coming since February.”
 
Dr. Rodgers had a very long memory.
 
It had been a joke at the time; Ed had teased him about his aim, and he, to prove his eye and hand were accurate as ever, had aimed a snowball at Rodgers’ parka.
 
He’d made his point, but now he had to answer to a grim-faced ME with a fistful of snow.
 
Maybe if he made a break for the precinct door –
 
But Rodgers caught him square in the face before he could make a move.

This was great! Muppet, I could just see the whole thing play out. I loved it! :)

Rodgers is such a hoot...even more so with Lennie. LOL!

Glad you enjoyed it! I'm always worried, when I write Lennie, that I won't get his distinctive voice right, so I'm glad he sounded okay here. Thank you!

Heeheehee. I cannot connect a face to the name of Dr. Rodgers, but I am always amused by people getting whacked with snowballs. It's even more amusing when this plot point catches me off guard, since my initial guess was that she was an ex-wife and this conversation was the opening of a divorce demand.

Dr. Rogers is the medical examiner in both the original Law & Order and Criminal Intent. She alternated between a redhead and a blonde, and she's been in a lot of the most recent CI episodes. She was also in the TOS season finale, so that's another place you might find her.

I'm glad you enjoyed this! I love writing things like snowball fights into this fandom especially, since the source material's so serious.
