 Now, in contrast to the two-to-three months of agonizing required for Chapter 4, Little Brothers Chapter 5 came to me in an hour. Literally. Maybe an hour and a half. 

Of course, that hour and a half adds up to a lot of homework-fleeing ten-minute LJ breaks, so I suppose after I post this I'm signing off for the day. 

So, without too much further ado, I give you Chapter 5: The Daddy Issues Strike Back!

So I've been trying to bash out Chapter 4 of Little Brothers for the past...oh...two months. And it really hasn't happened. But now that the new Miami season's started I've been more motivated (utterly Jossing LB fanon, no less), and Chapter 4 has been clinging to my mind like used gum at the bottom of my cafeteria table (true and unpleasant story). I figured that, since I had nothing due tomorrow, I'd better just get it done today. Otherwise, I'd end up wasting time on it all day tomorrow and I've got crap to do tomorrow. I'd rather just get it done with.

Of course, I'm not entirely happy with this chapter - needs more Raymond. (Never thought I'd say that, huh?) So I'll end up tinkering with it anyway. But at least this is a start.

Oh, and I've got some thoughts on how I'm going to handle Season 6 canon, but right now I need to shower and go to bed, so I'll talk on that later (in the unlikely even that anyone at all cares).

Yes, I bought the song. Because I'm weak.

I actually started Chapter 3 of Little Brothers quite some time ago, but left it by the wayside when inspiration hit for the 20fk ficlets. A good pair of Miami episodes and my own epic struggles against the Canon Dragon inspired me enough to finish up the chapter this morning, since for whatever reason I went to sleep at 3 am, woke up at 4, and could not get back to sleep again.

So, for your viewing pleasure and nitpicking, Chapter 3 of Little Brothers, in which there are no Daddy Issues to speak of.

Because nothing gets my creative juices flowing like an essay and a bio test in nine hours. XP I really do hate you, muse.

A note or two:
1)This chapter's PG-13 for some bad language (which I'm now having a Lenten crisis about - is it still swearing if the characters are doing it, not me?)
2)Not sure that I'm entirely happy with this one, so concrit as you see fit. It feels a little on the melodramatic side. 
3)I swear not every chapter's going to revolve around Daddy Issues. It's just that...er...well...these two did. Sorry.

Maybe now I can get some work done. DX

Ack.

So, Muse made a triumphant return and has decided she likes me after all. Unfortunately, she decided this at 2 am this morning. And she was rather loudly demanding attention upon her arrival. I kept telling her, she's been ignoring me for a week; why should I pay attention to her? But no.

So guess who didn't manage to fall asleep till 3:30 am today?

Stupid muse.

But, as a product of Muse's resurgence, I wrote (in a bit of a frenzy) something that could serve as a first chapter for Little Brother (which I mentioned in my fic list). So, of course, it's going up here, for reading and beta-ing purposes.

I feel I should note that this is much more dialogue-heavy and much less fluffy than anything else I've put up here. Less angsty, too, although there's a little bit of angst in there if you look hard enough.
