A deeply selfish question...
Maybe once I get a little time to myself this weekend I'll update on life at large, since it's become rather interesting now that I've started working.
But, in the meanwhile, a query from the compulsive scribbler, and I apologize for how deeply selfish I'm sure this sounds...
I've managed to go all this time without knowing about the CSI Fanfic Awards, or at least not knowing that they were here on LJ (I don't know where I thought they were). However, since nominations are just about to start, I have to ask: Is there any specific way one throws one's hat into the ring? Do you have to do anything in particular to be eligible for nomination? Or can I nominate whoever I want?
Dear fandom: Obey my pimping. Obey it.
Tum teedly tum tum. I am, as always, sleepy. Finally making some fic progress, though. Taking a pen and paper on the Metro does wonders to pass the time, and it handily prevents having to carry my iPod around and risk having it stolen.
I still don't feel old or mature enough to have a real job. Or to have a writing portfolio, which Mom just told me I should get.

As far as I know, you can nominate whoever you want, so long as it isn't yourself, and you don't have to do anything other than post your work somewhere on the internet where the public can see it.
And I am most definitely nominating something of yours when the time comes; my only trouble will be picking a favorite.

And, so far as I can see, only Moonlight In Brazil has been nominated before and is therefore off-limits. Up till August should be plenty of time to pick my own favorites.

PS - Mom's right, you need a writing portfolio.

P.S. I know; she usually is. XD
