From that science-fiction-fantasy novel I kept meaning to write:
"Yeah. Yeah, actually, that's exactly what I did. I got through about ten security checkpoints without a hitch - most of which, let's see, involve fingerprint scans and keycards and stairs - broke out the Prime Specimen even though I don't know what it is, got it past the same checkpoints, found it a hiding place, and got away without a single alert on my person! And I did it all while I'm stuck in this fucking hamster wheel. My god, I'm brilliant."
From a short story I kind of wrote once for class:
Amber rolled her eyes. "First job today, one Mrs. Dora Evans. Mrs. Evans would like some confirmation that her husband is a philandering son of a bitch. She was kind enough to provide us with probable locations and times, his schedule, where he works, and what he drives to get there." She handed the file up to Tilly. "Basically, she did half our work for us, so I figured we’d get that out of the way first. After Mrs. Evans, we've got a couple of traffic accidents, a mom who thinks her daughter's smoking pot behind the high school football field, and a few very creative phrases carved into the side of a Beemer." She squinted at the last few photos. "Jesus, even I hadn’t heard these."
"Another cheatin' heart and pair of roving eyes." Tilly shook her head. "Whatever happened to 'till death do us part', 'love, honor, and cherish’, all that?"
"Said the two-time divorcee," Amber raised an eyebrow.
"The ex-Mr. Margaret Tilenas don’t count, Amber. We’ve discussed this. I’m hardly at fault for divorcing an import porn addict and The Man Without A Backbone."

GOSH I DIDN'T SEE THAT COMING.
"Well, if you'd checked up on me after leaving me - in Aberdeen, because you still can't steer - you might have noticed that you dropped me right next to a hole into E-space."
"Mum? Who's he? What are you arguing about?"
"Not now, Adric. Mum's a bit busy."

That was more than one sentence but I am SO NOT COMPLAINING.
and womenon Alzurius, didn't she?Can't you just see it, though? I think Sarah Jane and Adric look a lot alike, really. And it would be SO DAMN CUTE if they were BOTH his companions for a while. ^_^ Talk about a happy little time-traveling family, eh?
Not to mention that the scene where the Doctor finds out the Alzurians are descended from swamp people would be like, a bajillion times funnier.
"Well, Sarah, I must commend you on expanding the gene pool."
"What? What do you mean?"
"Look at this sample of the Alzurian's genome."
"...ok."
"Now look at the DNA from the swamp person that was captured."
"I--"
"And here's a sample of the spider's. Well?"
"No. No. No no NO NO NO!!"
"Mum?"
"ARRRGH!"
"I think you and I should give your mother some time to think this through, Adric. Let's go look at the shiny things over there."
"Um... ok."
"I CAN'T BELIEVE IT! NO! NOOOOOOOOO! And Aunt Lavinia thought Mike Yates was bad news! DOCTOR, THIS IS ALL YOUR FAULT."
"I can't hear you, Sarah. I'm busy explaining Chaos Theory to your cross-species son."
"AAAAAAAAAAAAH!"
"I still don't know what's going on."
"I'm afraid that runs in the family."
I could not possibly contain that idea in a single sentence.
"Well, strictly speaking, they're more reptile-people than spider-people..."
"You stay out of this."
Almost forgot this bit.
And I think they should be companions together! They'd be ever so cute, and Sarah'd keep both Adric AND the Doctor in check. XD

Also, the Master would be hurting pretty bad at the end of Castrovalva, and not because of the townspeople.
