500 words on that Doctor Who fic today. In the past two hours, no less. ("I should think it would be obvious that the TARDIS is not functioning, as evidenced by the fact that it is still here. Now if you'll excuse me." I don't even know if I'm keeping that line, but I just like it so much.)

250 words in the past half-hour in the mostly-finished H/M 20. ("It made him look like a fourty-something cop trying to look like a grunge rocker." That one I am keeping.)

Not to mention a brand new and shiny Whobunny has jumped me, one that might finally give some context to that Three-Jo-Master drabble I wrote some time ago. And so far it has the distinct possibility of containing this exchange:

"'So we're to be sacrificed?' The Doctor asked, tugging idly at the bonds around his wrists. 'I've managed to avoid being sacrificed before.'
'No, Doctor,' The Master, bound on Jo's opposite side, coolly contradicted him. 'The only sacrifice allowed here is martyrdom. We're to be tortured to appease the Goddess, I gather.'
'Really?'
'And then stoned to death in the public square. It's their chosen method of dealing with prisoners.'
'Ah.' Jo could only cast a sidelong glance at the Doctor, but even from there he looked mildly disturbed. 'I was hoping to avoid that one.'
'There are worse ways to die, Doctor. After the first dozen or so one gets used to it.'"

Oh, and I finally saw "You Kill Me", on CSI. I missed it the first time. And I got to watch it with Dad, and everything's better when I watch it with Dad.

And I finally got a pair of black slacks today. I've been needing one.

It's been a good day.
