Muppet: So, I was wondering. You said that we were watching both the Branaugh version of Much Ado About Nothing and the New York Shakepeare Festival version...which version's that?
Muppet's Professor: What do you mean which version?
Muppet: Well, who play the leads?
Muppet's Professor: Oh, it's the version with Sam Waterson and Kathleen Widdoes.
Muppet <voice dangerously approaching a squeak>: YES!
Muppet's Professor: O__O
Muppet <attempting recovery>: ...that was the version I really wanted to see!
Granted, we conversed in such a way afterward that it was apparent I hadn't come across as a freak, but...still. I was doing so well with not humiliating myself this semester.
Please, please, please do not let me frighten her away with my deep-seated, full-frontal nerdity. It's major-decision time, I need an advisor, and I'd rather not scare off any more of the faculty than I absolutely have to.
However, in the privacy (ha!) of the Internet, I feel I can say this with less shame:
Squee! *bounces*
*uses Sam icon in celebration*

Heh, profs here love that sort of nerdity, though. Which member of our illustrious English department are you attempting to corral for your major advisor (this *is* in the Eng. dept., I'm assuming)?
