Further proof that I need to be shot, like you needed any.

I'm writing CSI:Miami fanfiction.

Not only that, I'm writing CSI:Miami *fluff*

It gets worse. I'm writing *Horatio/Marisol* CSI:Miami fluff.

Pathetic.

If you'd care to see it, there's a bit of a teaser right here...

Marisol Delko knew that there were a few things in life that she was entitled to. One of those was to have at least been kissed by her sixth date.

Not that she was complaining. After all, most of the other men she’d gone out with had been demanding sex by Date Number Three. But the trouble was, Horatio Caine wasn’t demanding anything. The most he’d ever done was touch her on the hand. Once. And she suspected even that was an accident.

It wasn’t that he didn’t want to; she could tell that he was attracted to her. She saw it in the way he smiled at her when he thought she wasn't looking. But the man seemed to be allergic to making the first move.

In retrospect, she probably should have seen this coming when she had to browbeat him into going to her house for dinner.

And by this point, she could probably initiate something herself without worrying too much about whether or not he was ready for it.

But that wasn’t the point. The point was, there were certain things she expected a man to do for her by the sixth date, and one of them was give a kiss before he received one.

And Horatio was going to do that tonight. Whether he wanted to or not.

Thoughts so far? Shall I continue or, as I always suspected, should I stick my head in a bucket of ice water and stop being such a damn fangirl?

[EDIT] The next bit's over here.

Poor Horatio. So what happens next?

Tell you the truth, I'm not entirely sure. I've been writing this in bits and pieces, so I've got a few scenes from the middle of the date, but no full fic.

I was planning on telling the story from both Horatio and Marisol's point of view, but I found that, for obvious reasons, it's rather difficult for me to write from the POV of a fourty-something-year-old man. XD So I'm not so sure about that.

Frankly, I'm not sure I see the problem here. So you're not a forty-something man...you're a writer and you know the character so just wing it. You'd be surprised what you can do...it should actually be easier in this case, because the character is provided. You don't actually have to think like the character, just think like his creators think he might. XD

Every time I talk to you, I end up using the phrase "I hadn't thought of it that way". Using it again here. XD Don't worry, it's a good thing.

You do present an excellent point, though. Perhaps I shall give it a shot.

Actually, I rather like that. It shows I've still got SOME new ideas up here. XD

If I created a writer's group called "The Inklings", would you join it?

But of course. But what would such a writers group do? (or what would such a group write. I guess that would be a better question)

I see their dates being very awkward.

Heh, no kidding. XD That was one of the reasons I felt compelled to write this - I do so love awkwardness.
