* How to get better at drawing: Practice. ;P Or so I am told. How not to feel bad about it: if you will draw a whatsit and post it, so will I. If you want. If it would make you feel better to see what "stiff and stilted and unrealistic" looks like when somebody who only draws blueprints does it. (I keep wanting to get into drawing, because I have all these fanarts in my head, but I'm like "I am the worst artist ever! I can't show anyone this stuff!" So it would help me too.) Just let me know.
* Second female Prime, WHY NOT. FANDOM NEEDS MORE LADIES. Even though I know so little about Transformers that I hadn't known there were any Primes besides Optimus till I read this post. (Hey, at least I knew Optimus, right? *g*)
Unless it would be, like, really easy to make it Solus instead of Volta (although I love the name Volta). I mean, no point making it harder on yourself. And I am kind of... more casual about canon than you are, iirc. (I mean, not in the little things - there's an otherwise perfect fic that always makes me twitch a bit because a character who canonically hates boiled eggs was said to have built an egg-boiler, ffs - but "Hey, in my fic there's another female Prime! Because WHY NOT. MOAR LADIES." It's a well-defined AU, therefore to me there's no problem.)

*But but but everyone is already so much better than me and they're all so much younger than me how can I possibly catch up ever. ;____; I know that practice is what helps people get better, but...I've been practicing, and I don't seem to get that good. I get better, but not good enough.
Of course, there's the whole perfectionism thing, where nothing's good enough...so, yeah, actually, it might be nice to have someone else posting with me. Thank you so much for offering; that's very sweet of you. :D
*A ha ha ha it's completely silly how complicated the "cosmology" of this bonkers little Eighties cartoon got in the ensuing comics and spinoffs. In the intervening twenty or so years they've introduced a robot creator-god and thirteen robot "angels" called the Primes (which is where Optimus got his title, sort of) who fought the Robot Devil Planet-Eater Galactus Thing. And then one of them turned traitor and became Robot Lucifer. It sounds really boneheaded when I talk about it.
But yeah, most of the Thirteen don't have names yet, but one of them was recently revealed to be the only canonical female - all the rest are men because apparently women are a whole separate body type akin to cars and planes. And as such my lady couldn't be part of it, and - if I'm honest? It'd probably actually be easy to make my girl into Solus (the girl Prime) because Solus is the weaponsmith of the Primes, and Volta (or the character who'll become Volta) is known for pullingweapons out of subspace, but Volta makes more sense from the perspective of the story. And also I am so deeply annoyed at the only-one-lady thing that I might put in Volta and headbutt with that particular bit of canon anyway.
