Happy Valentine's/Singles' Awareness/Hey Look Cheap Candy Day to all and sundry! You are all excellent, excellent people, whom I adore and am glad to know. *spreads the love*

Anyway, slightly randomly: A (long) while back, I did that "three fics you think I'd never write" meme. Predictably, I half-completed all of the requested ficlets and then forgot about them, because I just sort of fail at having an attention span memes that way.

I've been trying to finish up old memes lately, since I have quite a few of them backlogged, and I came across the document with the requests for that meme. Most of them are still in incomplete bits, but [livejournal.com profile] nentari  requested Jack/K-9, and the snippet I wrote for hers actually a)was finished and b) sort of stands on its own.

And, well, I haven't posted anything to [livejournal.com profile] whoniverse1000  in ages and ages... (We're at 218/1000 as of my posting this, by the way. Keep on writing! We're 1/5 of the way there!)

Title: Castaways
Ship: Jack Harkness/K-9 Mark II
Rating: PG/All Ages
Words: 212
A/N: Post-ep for "The Parting of the Ways". Also, crack.

Here in the Whoniverse 1000 ficbucket )

Possibly cross-posted to my Teaspoon ficbucket as well.

And now I must go out and legitimately accomplish something, now that I've spent two hours reformatting the stupid ficbucket line-by-line, bloody HTML. *grumble* Happy Valentine's to all!

Mood:: 'love, love, looooove...' love, love, looooove...

Two mini-picspams, actually, but the other one's not themed.

Anyway, someone on the anonmeme started a picspam thread about hugs and kisses, in honor of the date. Alas, the Tragical History Tour and Shillpages, while quite adequate most of the time, don't contain images of some of my favorite Who-related hugs, so I got to screencapping. And I thought I'd share the caps here, in case anyone else wanted them and because picspams are just an all-around good thing.

The picspam's based on whatever DVDs I could grab at the moment (so no *cough* otherwise aquired stories) and which I already knew well enough to fast-forward to the hug, cap it, and move on (so no new-ish serials or serials I own but haven't seen yet). One, Two, and Three era (I don't believe my Four DVDs contain many hugs at all, which is a shame), heavy on the monochrome.

Enjoy!

All you need is love! )
Now, for the second mini-picspam: The Heart Truth Red Dress Show is a fashion show (with presumably some sort of fundraiser component?) in which actresseses strut around modelling shiny red dresses designed by famous people. The AOL news feed had pictures, and while I'd hardly consider myself a fashionista, I do love looking at pretty people in pretty clothes, so I gave it a shot.

And I was treated, unexpectedly, to Linda Carter being almost unspeakably fabulous.

Take a peek. (Warning: Images are quite large.) )
And, on that note, I depart to engage in some actual social activity, so as not to spend Valentine's Day entirely on my own. Good night!
