Not that I dislike Thanksgiving, mind you, but ChiTARDIS always sounds like so much fun and I am never there. Boo.

Anyway, finally finished my paper (though I ended up sleeping through class again, which is Not Good) and managed to make it home for Thanksgiving. Spent some time with family, watched far too much Mythbusters, kind of lounged around until today when I was forced to do homework. Little of interest to report, save that I actually took part in the cooking and baking this year and managed to make a not-unpleasant Nutella pumpkin pie. This gives me hope for an inevitable future in which I am forced to feed myself.

I would make a thoughtful post about Things I'm Thankful For, but I'm supposed to be researching how film and television have affected the narratology of trials, so I just wanted to wish my flist a happy belated Thanksgiving, or a happy Friday to those who don't/didn't celebrate.

Also, I wanted to point you towards this, which, as one YouTube commenter noted, justifies the entire existence of the internet: The Muppets singing "Bohemian Rhapsody".

This ranks very highly on the list of Best Things I've Ever Seen. Thanks for pointing it out to me. :D

Oh, and while I'm sharing videos, have another:

Optimus Prime loves the whole world.

At some point I will make a proper introduction post, but hopefully these two videos will serve for now.
Mood:: 'content' content

Between conventions, NaNo, Yuletide, final exams for the university people, and holidays, you can probably expect your flist back sometime in February. We're sorry for the delay; please call again!

You know, a couple of my friends were in a puppet-making class in freshman year of college (apparently Frank Oz came in as a guest speaker once during this) and for their final project, they made goofy Muppet-style creations and made a music video of them singing Bohemian Rhapsody (which they HAVE YET TO SHOW ME). This is so deja vu. XD

And now that I have watched this version: EEEEEEEEEEEOMG. *flail*

And hee, I love those Discovery Channel ads. My favorite bit is the Mythbuster guys placidly setting each other on fire while they sing. =D

"Nothing really matters...to moi!" Hee.

Bohenmian Rhapsody is a good video to parody/do homage to, I think - it's epic, easily recognizable, and unlikely to offend anyone if you mimic it. And Muppets just make everything better, so your friends' choice of video is quite understandable.

I'm not ashamed to admit that those videos make me tear up just a little, especially the shots at the end with lots of people singing. Awww. :D

I know what you mean. I wish I was at Chicago TARDIS too. XD And I'm definitely going to watch that Muppet video now, because it looks amazing.

Conventions sound like so much fun and I've never been to one, ever. There aren't any near where I live and I don't have the disposable cash to go to most of them. One day I'll have a convention to my name. One day. *determined face*

The Muppet video is amazing. I hope you enjoy it!

There are more new Muppet videos? I did not know about them! What other ones are out there? And yes, I love that Jim Henson Company did this. I don't know what inspired it, but I love them for it.

I hope there are more Muppet movies. I miss those. :(

You can find links to the other vids in the related section of the one you posted. There's Sam the Eagle's version of "Stars and Stripes Forever," and a couple of shorts with Beaker, including a pair of musical numbers, one involving chickens. Just go here, and you'll find them all.
