Dad thought I had lost my mind the other day because I had a big flaily spazz and ran behind him as he was backing the tractor up, trying to get him to stop for a frog. XD

Ditto later that day when I took a running leap off the rack of the hay wagon because a baby barn swallow was sitting amongst the pile of wood we were throwing logs onto. This animal saving stuff is gonna get me killed. XD

I would do the exact same thing, don't feel bad. :D I'm such a sucker for animals - babies especially, but animals of any kind. I swerve around squirrels when I'm driving and it's not like there aren't eight billion more wherever the one on the road came from.
