I couldn't help it; I just had to incessantly refresh who_remix  from my phone all day to see if anyone had posted a Remixed version of my story yet. I am so, so anxious to see it, guys! I want to know what my remixer picked and what they did with it! And I have a dark secret hope that someone picked Concerning Multiverse Theory and remixed it so the darn thing makes any sense. But mostly I am just excited.

But then after refreshing Remix I figured I should check my flist, and you all had memes and comments and entries and things, and how am I supposed to resist that, I ask you.

The funny thing is, forcing myself to finish Remix has really revved up my writing drive again, though I'm sure it helps that I'm on vacation and thus have the time and energy to write. I ticked out a little bit of an AU where Dodo comes back to the TARDIS after The War Machines and travels with One, Ben, and Polly, and eventually with Two and Jamie and Ben and Polly, a tiny bit more of Liz/Shalka!Nine, and a second chapter/follow-up-type-thing to Made Up Your Mind which manages to be the complete tonal opposite to the original, because apparently when I'm relaxed and happy I write morbid things, huh. Also I may have written a bit of Eleven/Amy, even though neither of them has a personality yet. Whoops. I hope their actual dynamic when they appear doesn't make it too difficult to ship them on general principles.

The first meme, stolen from almost literally everyone: Ask me my fannish Top Five [Whatevers]. Any top fives. Doesn't matter what, really! And I will answer them all in a new post. Pictures not guaranteed as my internet is funky like that and I may be sneaking in replies at work.

The second, thieved from kindkit , slightly altered to fit the slower writers among us:
1.comment with any character you know I've written, or, because the latter beats out the former by about three to one, any character whom I've talked about writing but haven't actually posted anything about yet.
2. receive three bits of trivia about their sexuality: practices, preferences, experiences, fantasies, kinks, etc.
3. Profit!

(I love it when lists end with "Profit!". It always sounds so hopeful. Also, bear in mind that my answers may not be terribly serious. It's that "humor as a defense mechanism for something that actually makes you kind of nervous" thing.)


On an entirely different note, I saw a baby tortoise on my way back from the beach today. He was no bigger than my fist and dived into his shell when I got close, but he eventually emerged long enough for me to take pictures, which I'll post when I get home. Then, this evening, coming back from dinner, a tiny toad hopped into the elevator with us and hid under the wall panelling until the door closed. Dad had to grab it and take it back down to the ground floor of the hotel so it wouldn't be trapped on the forth floor with no way out. It has been a very reptile-heavy day today.
