*shrug* I'm still not sure what differentiates for me between "fandom" and "something I watch", so I'm not sure I could help you. I mean, I kind of figured that Torchwood engaged you more fannishly given that that's what you write, but even Torchwood's getting new canon soon, yes? And you never know, you may yet find a DW era that clicks with you the way Torchwood does. It might even be EDA or BFA or NA or PDA or any of those other wacky acronyms.

And I've definitely done that with my own characters, to the point where I ended up writing neither, so sympathy on that. And...well, School will do that to one's fannish output. Not much I can offer there.

And, well, there's... other stuff. That I may or may not seek reassurance for under flock. :/
