1. For some reason, I really, really miss my dog tonight. So, in lieu of snorgling and cuddling and flopping her ears, I'm going to spam you all with videos of bloodhound puppies, because while none of them are mine I can't be the only one who winds down the day with pictures of baby animals.

"Pay attention to me pay attention to me pay attention to - om nom nom sofa." The dog without an attention span, ladies and gentlemen.

Grown-up bloodhounds, not puppies, but included because they sound more like my dog.

*zzzzzzzzz*

Well, I feel a bit better. Don't know about you.

2. Finished Episode 3 of Day of the Daleks tonight after reading, and I'm not sure what baffles me more: the fact that someone appears to have switched Page 20 of the script with Page 20 of someone's rape-and-torture fic, or the fact that nobody on the cast and crew appears to have noticed.

Thankfully, it seems only one page got switched, or we'd have a new "lost episode" to uncover for entirely different reasons.

Clarification: near the tail end of Episode 3, the Doctor gets dragged between two Ogron guards to some sort of nondescript, windowless dungeon. He then very gingerly sits on the edge of a platform while a guy in leather and nail varnish strokes his neck and shoulders with a whip while slowly circling him and saying things like "Don't cross me; our friends here don't get much fun." All while the Doctor pants and heaves suggestively and looks quite disheveled and the Unbuttoned Collar of Rassilon makes an unexpected return appearance (hey, I spy a gold chain necklace there).

...oh, show. Every day you surprise me.

3. Unexpectedly, I appear to have also been nominated for Favorite New Author: Classic Who over at the Children of Time Awards. Thanks so much to the anonymous nominator, and congratulations to fellow nominee [livejournal.com profile] primsong !

Nominations don't appear to be closed yet, and few of the Classic Who categories are full, so I'll be looking into making a few nominations myself, perhaps over the weekend.

4. Comments over the weekend, but I've read them all thus far, and am grateful for everyone's thoughts, wit, and wisdom. See you all later.

I know! I'm biased because the only dog I've ever had's a bloodhound, but I love hounds soooo much. They're so floppy and good-natured and distractable and snuggleable.

And thank you! :D

1. Everything is better with puppies! Hee, I love their big floppy faces.

2. I have got to rewatch that episode... o.O

3. Congrats!

1. Bloodhounds pretty much have the same amount of skin as puppies as they do when they're fully-grown. Which means that, until they grow into their skin, they just...puddle. It's darling to watch.

2. Just when I think my show can't get any dodgier, it pulls something like this on me. :D

3. Thank you!

Thank you! And I just started writing for Old Who last year, and I don't think I got a Teaspoon account until...I want to say May, so I suppose that makes me new? I'm not really sure of the rules; up until recently I wasn't even aware the awards were running again this month!
