Because have an exam coming up and I was a dumbass and didn't sleep last night and I haven't packed either and aaaah. I need happy things. Comment replies to happen in the airport whilst waiting for my flight.
Post 10 things that are going right in your life right now, it doesn't matter how small. You're happy with your cup of coffee. You saw a flock of geese flying over. ANYTHING. Things that make you happy. Things that make you smile. No pressure.
1. The wedding on Sunday. It puts me in a horrendous schedule crunch, but it's also a wedding, and I do love weddings.
2. On another note, my bridesmaid's dress, and all its attendant accessories. I think I actually could wear it again.
3. I don't have to memorise the electron orbital equation for this exam, thank God. I think I might not fail this one.
4. My Bio class went to a lecture by NPR's "Math Guy", who was also an early mathematics advisor on Numb3rs. He is very nice, very humble, and has a charming accent. And he made probability theory seem interesting. Well pleased.
5. Speaking of which, even though I haven't caught up on new episodes, Numb3rs is still a really good show. Reruns were on today. :D
6. Got a B on my most recent English 280 exam, and an A and a "good essay" on the take-home portion. Also geek-bonded, after a fashion, with professor. More on that later.
7. Episode 2 of The Ambassadors of Death. "Stand at attention when you're talking to me and call me sir!" Hee.
8. Actually did a little writing today. Writing I was pleased with, even.
9. "Storm", by Vanessa-Mae. Fast-paced and slightly eerie and technically impressive and awesome. Oh, and it's a slightly remixed version of Vivaldi's "Summer". Go check it out. It might be on YouTube.
10. Despite Mom's fears I appear not to have caught the plague.
11. (Bonus!) I think I won't need to check any bags on this flight. 15 bucks I don't have to pay, rah rah rah!
You know, I actually do feel better. I go now to shower, pack, study a bit, etc. See you all at the airport. Assuming it has reception at all.

I'm so glad you like Vanessa-Mae. Saw her in concert once, at a club in L.A., and she was fabulous. Her mom was there with her -- they're both so beautiful. VM is so sweet and unassuming, very humble actually. She's a fav artist of mine.

She's one of my favorites as well. :D
Yay, Good Things lists!
Re: Yay, Good Things lists!
I do love Vanessa-Mae's music, though; she's another artist I pimp every chance I get. She's very talented and plays a really wide range of music; she plays straight-up classical as well as the more pop-ish stuff on Storm and The Violin Player.
