*pops in at tail end of lunch break* CSIverse random pairing generator. *zooms back to work* I shall be back to read the rest later!

Thank you! I used to have the link somewhere, but it got lost in the shuffle somehow - it's so nice to have it back!

You're welcome. It is quite a fun toy. As for the fic-writing, let me be the first to say that I think things set in seasons past/which ignore current events would be welcome, even if (maybe especially if) it's different. Aren't we often complaining that the series used to be better? When it comes to fanfic, why can't we mentally reset the clock to '07, '06, '05?

And personally I feel a dose of Warrick fic would fix my broken heart. I want everything to be normal where the finale never happened!

And, er...what ex-girlfriend angst are you talking about?

Good to hear that at least one other person is joining me in the happy this-season-never-happened place. While I'm perfectly fine with hitting the "reset" button in my own work, I'm just not sure how other readers would respond to it. But given that other people are writing fic that doesn't take recent developments into account, I suppose it's a silly thing to worry about.

You know what? I am going to Get Something Written this weekend. It might not be posted until Monday, and it might be a standalone, but dammit I've got a rut to crawl out of. *determined-face*

what ex-girlfriend angst are you talking about?

Shhh - if I call it "ex-girlfriend angst", I can pretend it only involved Julia and the Kyle Harmon subplot never happened. :D

Ahhh, I get it. I was just thrown for a minute, as I tend to think of Julia as purely "that evil robot wench."

I like this determination of weekend plans, though! I'll be the 1-woman cheerleading squad on the sidelines!

"Evil robot wench" is a phrase that should get used more often. :D

And writing over the weekend didn't quite work out, but. But but but. But I am going to get something done, dammit. I'm sick of this writing funk. D:
