Yep. Miami means CSI: Miami; NY means CSI: New York. I'm so used to abbreviating them that sometimes I forget that not everyone knows what I'm talking about.

Perhaps rampant sentient plastic cacti? Leaving bits of themselves behind at crime scenes? It's all coming together, yes it is.

I should make it a Doctor Who crossover. Just to be spiteful over getting a difficult prompt. I mean, the Auton invasion in "Rose" couldn't have been limited to Great Britain, right? Maybe there was a lab standoff in New York, and they all had to barricade themselves inside and beat off murderous shop window dummies.

That'd be kind of awesome, actually.

Oh, I so will. I'll have to make sure crossovers are allowed, but if they are, I'm all over this.

Why aren't there more CSI/Doctor Who crossovers? It's not like the universes are incompatible. Although there was one really really fabulous Stella Bonasera/Martha Jones PWP I read that one time, but that's all I've seen.
