You have way better discipline and habits than I ever will. I predict there will be SUCCESS in your future!
And word on the driving paranoia. The problem is that as soon as something becomes familiar, we stop being careful. And then people die. :/ just a few days ago in Savannah the 11 year old brother of someone I knew in high school died in a hit-and-run. Thing is, the driver might not have been driving all that recklessly. Sucks all around.
I... maybe should not have told you that before you take a road trip. Sorry! At least you'll be in a car, too.
Anyway, glad to see you posting even if commenting suffers for it-- and vice versa, hee.

XD I don't know if discipline has anything to do with it - it's more that if I don't keep writing, I'll stay in this funk for a month or more, and then I'll drive myself crazy wanting to write, and all around it's just easier if I take the pressure off and give myself permission to write whatever crap I want without expecting it to be good.
I still end up staring at the screen and sulking sometimes, no matter my intention, so I'm not as good at this as I make it sound.
The problem is that as soon as something becomes familiar, we stop being careful.
No kidding. I've experienced that a little bit myself - I'm not as careful driving as I'd used to be or should be - but I can't imagine ever thinking I'm so in control that I could read, watch TV, or shave while behind the wheel (I've seen all three).
I'm so sorry to hear about your classmate and his brother, though. Did the driver ever come forward?

I know, I know, you've posted so many things I need to comment on - I am reading your journal, really, but commenting coherently isn't as easy as sneaking peeks at my flist between writing assignments. Will get to that soon - probably after the concert, once things have calmed a bit.
