I know they've done the gray-screen thing before, but this is the first time that it hasn't bothered me. I think I didn't mind it so much when it was used for a certain purpose - i.e. to tell us "These are the bad guys. Pay attention to them." - because it was as annoying as ever the other times it occured, like when for some reason Natalia's *tweezers* were highlighted. So, it wasn't so much that particular camera trick as the context in which it was used. Or something.
I think at the moment it was the only way he could let her know that something was going on, that this wasn't a personal transaction.
Good point. Hadn't thought of it that way.
Also, thank you for pointing out meevee to me. I'm having the exact same problem, so that should be a big help.
