So. I was going to make a post yesterday about how I wasn't going to post today, not because of the content strike (I've no comment on that) but because I'd be in transit home for Easter Break. But then I forgot, and ended up posting it today, thus entirely defeating the purpose of said post. Oops.

Anyway, my cab to the airport gets here in two hours, and I'm pretty sure I've packed everything I need. In fact, I managed to almost fill up my largest suitace for a four-day break, which seems odd until I remember that the contents of said suitcase are mostly laundry. So, at the moment, I'm simply in the phase of debating what to do with myself.

I might head over to the Union and get a notebook so I can write on the plane, since I'm not taking my laptop, but since I've got so many blank notebooks at home it feels like a waste. Perhaps I'll just slip some paper into my Airport Reading Material and write on it if I care to.

I could probably fit in another Who serial, some pre-strike TV I missed, or one of those Blockbuster movies I've had since forever in the intervening time, but I simply can't think of which of those I'd rather do. I suppose I'm kind of obligated to finish the Blockbuster movies, since my queue hasn't moved in months.

Thing is, I tend to watch movies while I'm doing something else, like homework or ficcing or beading, just as background noise. But that only works if it's a movie I've seen many, many times, and thus am not obligated to pay much attention to. Movies I haven't seen before, such as those I order from Blockbuster, demand my full attention, and so end up getting pushed back and back and back until I'm done with this homework or that fic, and before I know it I've had the same two movies for months.

Ah well. I'll be back soon enough, and then I can make a point of finishing The Legend of Drunken Master. (Which, actually, is even *more* demanding of my attention, since I watch it muted and with subtitles. Yes, the dubbed dialogue sounds that bad.)

I've also managed, somehow, to end up with six Doctor Who WIP fics, none of which can be finished at the moment, for various reasons. I'm sort of taking wagers on which ones I'll end up finishing at all.

Ah well. Point is, I shall be away from the computer for pretty much the rest of today, and I'll be checking somewhat infrequently until Wednesday, when I return to school. Happy Easter to those who celebrate it; Happy Purim to those who celebrate that; a wonderful weekend to you all.

I find it close to impossible to just watch tv. I have to have something to do with my hands, like knitting, sewing, or a puzzle. Fic writing, however, I prefer complete silence for.

Happy what ever you celebrate too. Have a bril vacation.

I know the feeling; If I don't have something else to do, I get bored and unfocused and move on to do something else. Depending on the fic, I can either watch the show I'm writing about or listen to music. Quiet makes me antsy. :D

Hope you've had a great weekend too!

Whenever I go somewhere I forget to bring a notebook or journal, so I always buy another one. I *must* have something to write in, even if it's just to make lists, or my fingers just absolutely itch! So I say go ahead and buy a notebook for your trip. :) Happy Easter!

Oh, I know. I've got so many journals I've only written in a bit, because I'm constantly forgetting them at home, and I go crazy if I have nothing to write in.

Hope you've had a happy Easter as well!
