Well, hell.

Yet more proof that every time we "fix" something, we create another problem. Maybe we shouldn't be drinking recycled pisswater, yeah?

But...but then we might actually have to regulate our water usage! We wouldn't have this miraculous and infinite supply of water just coming into our homes.

It's even more frightening here in Burbank, because Lockheed (the mega defense contractor) had about oh, fifty years to completely pollute our groundwater with things like Chromium-6 and god knows what else. (Literally, only God would know.) We use a Britta filter, but that's like running cancerous water through a coffee pot and calling it 'clean.' (No joke.)

I'm sure we have drugs and a zillion chemicals in our water. A lot of the people along one local street (a few blocks away) had things leaching into their main water line, and they settled out of court with Lockheed when 6 out of 10 developed odd kinds of cancers. Sad, true and scary as hell.

I'm waiting for Mother Nature to decide she's had enough of the human race, then shrug us all off like a bad cold.

Eeek. That is terrifying. And most of the filters aren't built to remove the really harmful stuff.

It can't be that long in coming, I swear, considering how badly we've screwed the planet up.
