Oh, that's right! All the fun of literary immortality without any of the unflattering dissections by disgruntled undergrads. Success is imminent! Now all I have to do is write something.

As for the cake...have you heard of the video game Portal? In the game, you play a test subject for an obstacle-course-type-thing, testing a gun that can create portals. The experiment is run by a disembodied computer who promises you cake and grief counseling at the end of the run. But the cake is a lie.

And then...oh, and then there's the end credits song. It's hysterical. And it involves cake.
