For mysterious and inexplicable reasons, my new copy of Tomb of the Cybermen works on neither my computer nor my TV's DVD player.

I am wondering if I should bring this up to the person I got it from and risk sounding bitchy, or assume it's my equipment's fault and head off in search of another DVD player.

Either way, in the meanwhile, I am not getting my Patrick Troughton on. And this makes me sad. :(

On the Good News front: I have been invited to a scene reading with the RSC actors-in-residence tomorrow, as have all the people who were invited to the writing workshop. Glee!

Ficcing is coming slowly: approximately 100 words of Chapter 6 of Little Brothers and a few sentences on Joan's "Fraction" chapter. I did, however, manage to type out about another page of my Spearhead from Space review/meta-blather.

Now, I'm going to make some hot cocoa and do that Bio homework I've been meaning to finish.

Is the DVD from Europe? Because it could be a region problem. and i know how to fix that lickety-split.

It's a burned copy of a "Region One/NTSC compatible" disc...not sure if that means it's from Europe or not.

But your technological insights would be much appreciated either way.

Region 1 is supposed to be the U.S., so that's not the problem... if you give me the disc, I can fiddle around with it and see what's going on.

Happily...perhaps tomorrow, once I get back from classes, I shall mosey over to your room so we can experiment.

Thank you. :)

Tomorrow would be great, any time after noon. I don't have classes. ^_^

I can't promise anything, but I have fiddled a few discs in my time. *cracks knuckles*

Well, the play thing should be over before then, so the plans, consider them made.
