*giggle* Those are pretty much my feelings about half the stuff I see on runways - either converted skirts or towels with creative tape application. Now, I've had it explained to me several times that it's all just an extreme version of whatever's currently in fashion, but just on occassion I'd like to see a model in something I might actually wear. Or at least, something I wouldn't have to sell my corneas to afford.
And yes, Eric wears pastel floral prints distressingly often, and I concur with your assessment that they do nothing for him. He looks quite good in whites, dark greys, or saturated reds, and there was a time early in the series where he wore quite a lot of all three; I'm not really sure where they went, but I want them back.
Alas, one thing the entire CSI franchise does particularly well (all of them, though Miami's been the worst offender recently) is dress very attractive men in hideously ugly clothes. Poor Ryan spent almost the entirety of Season 3 in a sweatervest. A sweatervest, sweet mercy.
