Re: *hugs*
I, personally, like living in a dorm. I'm not nearly as homesick as I thought I'd be - you start meeting people and making friends, and soon enough your dorm starts feeling like home. You meet people much more easily when you live on campus, too. And everyone else is going through the same thing you are, so especially in the first few weeks people will be looking to make friends.
Now, my campus is almost entirely residential - almost everyone lives here - so there's usually something happening on weekends since nobody goes home. I don't know if that's how it'll work where you want to go, but it is something to take into consideration.
Glad you're feeling better!
Re: *hugs*
I'll have to see about uploading the Broadway cast recording for you, because if you love the movie soundtrack, you're going to love the OBC ten times more. It's phenomenal. I'll upload it this weekend (it may take a while, because I have dial up internet now) and post the link for you in a comment here. (:
Thanks for the advice on dorm living! I definitely won't be able to go home very often, as the school I want to attend is in Texas, but I shouldn't be too, too homesick because I lived in Texas from 2004-2005, but came back because I got into some financial trouble. I want to move back, and my parents are moving to Florida, so I figure I may as well go to school there, and the school I've looked at has an amazing Communications program.
I've always wanted to experience living in a dorm (I currently commute because I go to community college, and I commuted when I attended Rutgers), but I've always been scared about it. Thanks again!
PS. Sorry for rambling. *blush*
Re: *hugs*
And you're welcome. If you're going to be that far away, I can't say you won't get homesick at all, but I think you'll be able to handle it fine. And it's definitely a unique experience.
And don't apologize for commenting! :)
