So the reason I have not been around the past two weeks is because I've been nose-to-the-grindstoning this thing. It was the first time I've finished something in years and I wanted it done before my motivation tapered off and now here it is.

(Also, at the risk of sounding weird, I was very pleased that the description of the strap-on sounded good because I kept going back and forth on whether or not I was being too timid by not just calling it a strap-on. I also didn't know if it would sound too modern to do so? Like, there are artifacts that are clearly dildos dating back thousands of years but I haven't a clue what anyone back then would have actually called them. Not that Fire Emblem is a rigorously correct historical setting, but still.)

Maybe partly it's because strap-on would have risked sounding kind of modern, but I feel like what you went with really fits the story, and kind of emphasizes how special and lovely a part of their relationship it was, if that makes any sense.
