I promise at some point I will make an actual entry instead of just posting writing snippets. It's just! Writing a whole post means I'd have to think of something to post about! And then I might have Thoughts and I'd have to take time to figure out what I wanted to say or post and then it would go on even longer! You can see the dilemma I'm in.

Anyway have more polydin snippets.

He’s finally sussed out what exactly scares him the most about the prospect of joining them, and it’s the thought that he’ll be in there and facing her and lost in the moment and an I love you will tumble out of his mouth.

After all, they hadn’t said that to each other. Though he only has the two points of reference, maybe they do when he’s not listening - but from where he’s sitting it looks a lot more like a friends-with-benefits kind of thing they have going on. And it is a thing that’s going on, and romantic or not they both clearly have fun with it, and if he babbles to Allura that he loves her then they might think he wants them to stop seeing each other.

Does he? He doesn’t know yet. But even if he did, he can’t ask that of them now, not when they’ve invited him in like this.

(He’s still not used to how jealous he isn’t feeling.)

OMG, polydin! Somehow I hadn't encountered that term before, and I love it.

And oh, poor Lance. Brimming over with feelings and terribly anxious about it. I love his confusion about his own jealousy or lack thereof, and his recognition that in any case, he can't just barge in and ask Allura to stop seeing Shiro.

You have my sympathy on the posting dilemma, meanwhile. It can be so intimidating to come up with something you feel good enough about to put it out there where the whole internet could read it. Lately [personal profile] amovingtarget and I have been trying to post on Sundays, but it's wearying enough that we're thinking about switching to the Dreamwidth tradition of Reading Wednesdays, where you post about whatever you've read lately -- or in our case, probably more like read, played, watched, or listened to, which might make quick personal updates easier to add in as well. Maybe that would be a little more approachable for you too?

Wow it took me ages and ages to get back here didn't it.

I have no idea if anyone else uses the term Polydin since I haven't gone looking for Voltron fic but frankly I feel like everyone is missing an opportunity if they're not.

Reading Wednesdays does sound like a good idea, especially if I diversify it to include games, music, movies, etc. In any given week I may not have listened to or watched anything new, but there's surely stuff that I haven't talked about before that I could still post about. And that would give men something not too long to post, too, which is something that's been a stumbling block for me. Thank you for the suggestion!

(I even meant to start this week but then I got sick and did nothing for most of the week instead, haha.)

Mmmm, delicious pining.

You can see the dilemma I'm in.

Ugh, yes, E is compelling encouraging me to post more often as well, and it really does feel like A LOT. We're still figuring out how to make it work, but you're really welcome to join our tiny weekly posting circle!

I meant to get in on that weekly posting stuff this week, but then I got sick and lying facedown in bed seemed like a much more manageable thing to do.

Plus, if I'm diversifying the Wednesday Reading thing to include anything I've watched or read or listened to, I can include stuff that I listened to at work and I'll feel less like my time at work is just disappearing into the void.
