I read in TV Guide this morning that Fred Thompson is leaving too, although I knew that was coming, since he's considering entering the '08 race. And I believe I had read about it a few months earlier that he was probably leaving.
At least Jack and Ed will still be there (God willing!!).
Oh, and in case you're interested, both Sam Waterston and Robert Sean Leonard will be presenters at the Tony Awards on Sunday. I read it last night and practically squee-ed with fangirlish joy. (:

Of course, what depresses me most about this is that, once the campaign ads start running, they won't be allowed to play L&O reruns that he's in, since all candidates have to get equal screentime. Yes, that does mean that the earlier seasons (including the Ben episodes, which get barely any airplay) will run much more often, but it also means my day will have that much less Serena Southerlyn in it. And that makes me sad.
