[personal profile] laguera25 did one, and it seemed like a good idea; Now that the summer has officially begun and I might start ficcing in earnest again, I figure I should try to inject some structure into my spastic and uncontrolled writing bursts.

Summer Ficcing Schedule

Currently in Progress:

1. CSI: Miami, “Little Brothers”: Future chapters will vary from the 500-word quickies like 1 and 3, slightly longer pieces like 2, or multi-page affairs, so the amount of time spent on each will very. Chapter 4’s in progress; I’m hoping to at least get to Chapter 9 by the summer’s end.

2. CSI: Miami “The Sixth-Date Rule”: Chapter 2’s been difficult, but I should be done by the end of the month. Hoping to get to Chapter 4 ere the summer’s close.

3. Continue drabbling for [profile] lawandorder100.

4. June Challenge at fic_variations. I’ve got no idea what it’ll be or who I’ll feel like writing, but for some reason I’ve had the urge to write Alexx for some time, so I’ll see if I can make it work.

5. [profile] 20_firstkisseschallenges for H/M and Aurikku. Hoping to complete at least 7 total prompts for H/M, 5 prompts for Aurikku.

To Start/Make Significant Progress On

1. CSI: Miami, “Like a Troublesome Son”: Alexx- and Ryan-centric, non-shippy. I’ve managed a few more paragraphs of this, but it’s been slow going. Hoping to finish this.

2. CSI: Miami, “Concerning Mr. Wolfe”: Written in response to “Horatio Caine/Ryan Wolfe/curious” from the Almost Totally Random Pairing Generator. First attempt at (mild) slash; about half-finished. Ryan wonders why he’s never “Ryan”, never “Wolfe”, always “Mr. Wolfe”.

3. CSI: Miami, “Mosquitoes”: Adapted from an old, now-defunct bunny, response to “Ryan Wolfe/Maxine Valera/leaving marks” at the ATRPG. Ryan tracks down a troublesome mosquito in the crime lab. Been twiddling around with this for a while; getting it finished would be nice.

4. Law and Order: SVU, “The Estrogen Brigade”: Alex Cabot/Olivia Benson, first shot at femmeslash. Alex and Olivia commiserate about being among the few women in the professions of law and order. An expansion of a drabble, so a bit’s already done.

5. Law and Order, “Cake”: Jack- and Connie-centric, non-shippy. Connie follows up on her offer to bake Jack a cake. Only a few sentences so far, and will probably be on hold until I can finally find a good recap or episode script for “Over Here”.

6. Pirates of the Caribbean, “Prisoners of the Flying Dutchman”: Series of one-shots. The stories of the crew of the Flying Dutchman before they made their bargain with the devil. Part One’s half-finished. Probably not going to finish it over the summer, but I’d like to get some progress made.

Of course, I’ll probably do what I always do and go off doing some completely different thing and forget everything on this list. But maybe the list will help…

I'm finally home from school for the summer, done with my first year of college. Kind of nervous about that, because that's one year closer to having to join real life, get a real job, etc. But more on that once I've gotten a little more sleep. I'm still not sleeping well. Coming home did not cure it.
Mood:: 'apathetic' apathetic

Woot, home for the summer! Jealous. I still have two papers and three finals between me and home.

And a quick and easy cure for the joining the real world thing is to just keep going to school. Get your masters, then a PhD, then find other things to go to school for. It'll be wonderful.

I hope you start sleeping better. Maybe if you stay up til almost four, make ramen, then pass out before you have to clean it up it'll work. Or get really, really drunk. Seems to work for my floormates.

Lurf you! I'll be home soon, so we can go galavant.

Courage, my friend. Courage. *hug*

That's actually an intriguing idea. Trouble is, I'd have to go somewhere else for my graduate education, which means leaving the College Bubble. :(

I think that, once I stop sleeping in till noon, I'll stop staying up till four. That might help.

Yes! Yes! I miss galivanting with you! I'm all lonely back here.
