So I opened up the style section of my Post this morning to discover that apparently A&E is broadcasting an interview with Lee Boyd Malvo, the younger of the two snipers in the Beltway sniper attacks, supposedly revealing the snipers' long-term plans.

The person conducting the interview? William Shatner.

Yes, that one.

I feel like I'm in some sort of dark sitcom full of calculated absurdities right now. Am I being taped? Is there a laugh track? Is this the real life etc.

How did they even set that up, I mean? Who looked at someone else and said "You know who we should have interviewing this guy? That guy who played Captain Kirk. That makes sense."
