Okay. Crisis averted for now. Crisis postponed, really.

A quick trip to Barnes and Noble got me the movie I was looking for, although I ended up having to buy it. Still, it's one of those Worthwhile Films, so I suppose I should own it regardless. Still haven't seen it. I'm pretty sure I'm going to be up all of tonight and tomorrow, but at least I don't have to think of a completely new topic. Sleep is for the weak anyway. XD

It also meant that I wasted an hour and a half in that building, because Barnes and Noble is like a black hole. But! it wasn't a total waste of time, as I did end up with two CDs in addition to the movie. I bought the soundtrack to Winged Migration, which is a beautiful accompaniment to a beautiful movie. Seriously, if you get the chance, Winged Migration is worth checking out. I also got the soundtrack to Myst, which I didn't even know existed until I found it while rummaging amongst the CD stacks. Playing Myst with my dad (or at least looking over Dad's shoulder while he played) is one of my fond childhood memories, and Myst had awesome music in addition to everything else that was great about it, so...yeah. Exciting.

I should try going back to Riven. I've given up on it twice; maybe now that I'm older and wiser I'll be able to make more progress. Maybe I'll finally catch up on the mythos of Myst, which I've fallen behind on. It was such an immersive, gorgeous game.

TV will probably not happen for the remainder of the week, although I may have to sneak in an hour tomorrow for CSI since the contest is starting this week and I'm going to win.

It never fails. Once again my drive to fic has returned in full force now that I actually have something else I'm supposed to be doing. Such an inconvenience. Perhaps I shall have to take fic breaks.

I already feel tired. That's not a good sign.

Replies coming later. Homework-fleeing LJ breaks probably coming sooner.

OMG I totally hear you on the B&N thing. I could spend hours (and plenty of money!) in that store. It's like Heaven to me.

What console was Myst for? And I'll definitely have to check out Winged Migration!

Good luck with the contest tomorrow! And good luck with your paper! ♥

Myst was a PC game, but it's pretty old - 1996, I think - so it may or may not run on new computers without an emulator. I'd have to double-check. Riven and Exile (the two sequels) should run fine; I think Uru might be a console or online game, though. Again, I'm not sure. I never even made it through Riven. >__>

That's the other thing I should warn you about - the Myst series is hard. Really hard. There's no combat or anything (the whole game is based on exploration and puzzles), but the puzzles and such are still brain-bustingly difficult.

The profs ended up extending the deadline to Monday, so...yeah. It's good. Thanks! :)
