1. Why do you dislike #11 so much?
[Alexx/Anyone else] Because Alexx is happily married and has children, that’s why. If her marriage was on the rocks or she was distant from her husband, that’d be one thing, but she’s so protective of her family that I can’t imagine her throwing that away for an office fling.
2. Who is someone you know that ships #13?
[John/Casey] Um…there were a couple of authors in lo100 who wrote John/Casey drabbles, but I don’t know if they actively ship them. Sterling? Your thoughts? After all, yours was the first John/Casey drabble I ever read.
3. What would be your ideal scenario for couple #3?
[Nine/Rose] Hmm. I would have liked to have seen the trip to Japan that it’s implied they took. I think having Jack around might make the Doc just a touch more protective of Rose, and might force him to be a little more forward with her. Cutesy? Yes. But I’d like it.
4. What is your favorite episode for #1?
[Horatio/Marisol] There are so very few…but I think it would have to be the second one – Silencer, I think it is? Can’t remember it off the top of my head. The conversation they have at the beginning of the episode is so awkward it’s adorable. And there’s like five times Horatio tries to kiss Mari goodbye and she just keeps talking obliviously. XD
5. How long have you been following couple #6?
[Auron/Rikku] Honestly can’t remember. I think, back in my early days of playing FFX a few years ago, I came across an Aurikku fic and dismissed it out-of-hand because Auron was “too old” for Rikku. But then a few months later I got turned on to age-gap pairings, and after that, the more I thought about Auron/Rikku, the more sense it made to me. :)
6.What's the story with #8? What made you stop liking them/caring?
[Wakka/Rikku] I didn’t stop liking them, precisely, but I realized that I liked Aurikku and Wakka/Lulu better. And, since Wakka/Lulu was firmly entrenched in canon, Wakka/Rikku kind of fell by the wayside.
7. Which ship do you prefer - #2 or #4?
[Jack/Claire or Grissom/Sara] …er. Oh man. I don’t know. I guess GSR, since both of its participants are still alive as of the most recent episodes? Actually, no, I think I’d have to hand this one to Jack/Claire, since their relationship provides the kind of complications and emotional torment that I just love to fic. ;)
8. You have the power to make one ship non-existent. Choose from #10 or #12.
[House/Cameron or Auron/Tidus] House/Cameron, definetly. I never, ever have to worry about Auron/Tidus becoming canon, so as long as I ignore the corner of the fandom where it lives I never have to deal with it. House/Cameron, on the other hand, is in my face on a regular basis and I want it to go away.
9. What interests you about #14?
[Mac/Stella] With every single CSI show, my first ship has always been between the lab leader and the second-in-command (or second-in-the-credits, really). But, while I’m still sort of vaguely into Grissom/Catherine and Horatio/Calleigh, Mac/Stella is the one that I’ve stuck with. I think that no matter who Mac is actually in a relationship with, he and Stella are at least very close friends, and I’m curious as to how that closeness would help or hinder a romantic relationship. Yes, I know it’s vague, but I really can’t think of a better explanation
10. When did you stop liking #7?
[Elliot/Olivia] When “Dependant” aired and Elliot almost begged Cathy to take him back. After that, as I’ve said before, I couldn’t ship Elliot and Olivia without feeling like a homewrecker.
11. Did your waning interest in #9 kill your interest in the show?
[Chase/Cameron] No. I hate the way their relationship is going in the show, but so long as House, Wilson, and Cuddy are still in there doing their thing I can ignore the duckling antics for the most part.
12. What's a song that reminds you of #5?
[House/Wilson] Hmm. It’s kind of a stretch, but “World Leader Pretend”, by REM. So far as I can tell (it is an REM song and hence is somewhat weird), the song is about someone who is the master of his own little world – “I recognize the weapons/I’ve practiced them well/I’ve fitted them myself” – which is certainly Houselike. However, there’s a very brief passage in there – “Reach out for me/hold me tight/hold that memory/let my machine talk to me” – that suggests a need for someone else. The narrator/singer doesn’t need the other person’s companionship, per se, he just needs the other person so that his own world can keep functioning the way he wants it to. I think. I could certainly be wrong; even the members of REM don’t know what half their songs mean. But I like it.
13. Which of these ships do you love the most?
Gah! You make me choose! Horatio/Marisol is the one that I fic most often, since it gives me a venue to indulge in shameless angstyfluff, so I guess that’d be it? My interest in various ships waxes and wanes, though, so all the other ships on the list have their days.
14. Which do you dislike the most?
House/Cameron, because it began as an obnoxious crush by Cameron and should have stayed that way. Unfortunatly, we apparently decided to take it seriously for an episode or two. I do not approve.
15. If you could send any of these pairings on a double date, which would you choose? (even better if they're from different shows)
Ooh. Easy one. House/Wilson and John/Casey. Can you say “snark party”?
16. Have #2 kissed yet? Elaborate if you'd like.
[Jack/Claire] They have off-screen. Supposedly. At least in the mind of the fandom they have. Then again, it was never even explicitly stated that they were in a relationship until several seasons later on a whole different show, so…yeah.
17. Did #4 have a happy ending? If the show hasn't ended yet, do you think a happy ending is likely?
[Grissom/Sara] I guess they’ve kind of had a happy ending, in that their relationship appears to be stable. Then again, this is TV, so who even knows what’s to come? I like to think they’ll have a happy ending, though. It’s been seven seasons and they haven’t messed up yet.
18. What would make you start shipping #13?
[John/Casey] Well, for starters, it would help if all the John/Casey bad!fic would go away. Other than that…I don’t know. A bit more interaction between them, a few more chances for their wits to play off one another, and I’d be there.
19. If only one could happen, which would you prefer - #2 or #6?
[Jack/Claire or Auron/Rikku] Another hard one. I’d have to give this one to Jack/Claire as well, though, especially if that means retconning away Claire’s death. Plus, much though I squee over Aurikku, I can’t get over the feeling that any canon version of it would end up being slightly creepy.
20. You have the power to decide the fate of #10. What happens to them?
[House/Cameron] Hehe…Cameron realizes that her crush on House was just that, and that he’s not quite the same variety of human being as her dead husband – he doesn’t want to be pitied or taken care of. The crush evaporates like it should have to begin with, and in the meanwhile Cam realizes that attaching herself to damaged human beings has been mostly to make herself feel useful. I’d be happy if it ended there, but it my ideal version of events Cameron realizes that she’s already useful and is ready for a more mature and mutual relationship, which means she *stops being Chase’s sex buddy and figures out what they’re doing*.

I wouldn't say I actively 'ship anybody (well, besides AO, because they're meant to be, LOL!) because I will read every pairing in the book, provided it's done well. (Case in point, I've read your CSI:M fic and don't even watch the show.)
I think I'll go drain my life away doing this pointless meme now. I lurrrrvvv you!!! XD

A good shipping position to have, that. I have my preferences, but I'm easily swayed by well-written fic; most of the pairings on my "dislike" list are ones that I've never seen done particularly well. (The amount of House/Cameron bad!fic is almost as staggering as the amount of John/Casey bad!fic.)

The only way I managed to preserve my interest in EO (at least until Dependant) was by flatly refusing to read any fic of it. I still haven't, since nobody's recommended me anything good.
I don't have MSN. I used to have AIM, but it no longer likes me, so I may be looking into a different IM client. I'll let you know how that goes...ONLINE RANDOM COMEDIC DANCE ATTACKS would make every day brighter.

Lack of comments rarely bothers me, seeing as I managed to maintain my first blog for 3 solid years happily sending my thoughts into public space without a single reader. That being said, your comments are always fun, so I shall welcome them back. :)

I haven't been commenting on much of anything lately (witness how long it took me to come back to this journal), but hopefully the coming of Easter break will put an end to that. :)
