The Rules:

01. Leave me a comment saying, "Interview me."
02. I respond by asking you five questions of a very intimate and creepily personal nature. Or not so creepy/personal.
03. You WILL update your LJ with the answers to the questions.
04. You will include this explanation and an offer to interview someone else in the post.
05. When others comment asking to be interviewed, you will ask them five questions.

Responses to my queries: (sorry, LJ's being wierd and the journal link won't work)

1. What disgusts you the most about humanity today, and why?
What disgusts me most about humanity today is that nobody seems to care about anything but themselves. Nobody's willing to look at the big picture, nobody cares about anything that won't directly affect them, and everyone's got this huge entitlement complex. Of course, I'm guilty of this as well, and it's probably more a function of the suburb where I grew up than anything else, but still...

2. Do you see yourself taking your writing anywhere in the form of a career?
Most definetly. No matter what I do, I'm going to find a way to work in writing somehow. Even if I don't become a journalist/writer/editor specifically, I want writing to be a part of my career. Of course, my dream would be to become a bestselling novelist, but I figure I should have more stable career options.

3. What is your favorite episode of CSI or CSI: Miami, and why?
I'm gonna pretend that "or" is an "and", kay? Kay good.

My favorite episode of CSI is "Pledging Mr. Johnson", from the first season. The case that Grissom and Catherine were working on ended in an unexpected way (the death was an accident), which made the ending all the more tragic and shocking. However, I think my real reason for liking this episode is the dialogue between Grissom and Catherine. When Grissom tells Catherine that she's letting her relationships interfere with the case, she snaps back, "So what do I do? Stay in my apartment all day, watching the Discovery Channel and doing expert-level crosswords and never having any relationships?" Grissom responds, "Technically, it's a townhouse. And the crosswords are advanced, not expert." And that's not the only exchange they get.

My favorite CSI: Miami episode is "Freaks and Tweaks", also from the first season. Not only does this episode introduce Suzie Barnum, it also contains my favorite Horatio-ism ever. Also, this episode gave us our first bit of backstory about Raymond Caine, and parts of it (like the last shot and Horatio's conversations with Suzie) were actually quite moving. Oh, and Frank's in it. I love Frank. :)

4. Who was your first celebrity crush, and how did you come to find them?
Hmm...I'm not sure I remember my first celebrity crush. Dorky as this sounds, I think it might have been Mark Hamill, and I obviously came to know him via the Star Wars movies.

I know that my first actor crush was a stage actor: Patrick Paige, who played Lumiere in the Kennedy Center's performance of Beauty and the Beast that my parents took me to see when I was in grade school. I don't know why I became mildly obsessed with him, but I did. It must have been the accent. XD

5. What is the origin of your default user pic?
My userpic comes from my username. As I was poking around the Muppet wiki (yes, I do that in my spare time), I came across a section on Muppets based on real people. One of those Muppets was Sparky, the guy in my icon. Apparently, in the "Elmopalooza" special, Jon Stewart and Prarie Dawn become stuck in Jon Stewart's dressing room (all filthy comments can stop right now). At some point, Richard Belzer comes along and tries to free them from the dressing room; when he can't so it, he calls in Sparky, his "stunt muppet", who tries to bust down the door by slamming himself into it. Aside from my amusement that "Detective Munch" had ever been in a Muppet special, the very concept of a stunt muppet entertained me so deeply that I decided it would make the perfect LJ username. And since I had named my account after Sparky, I figured I should at least pay tribute to him in my default icon.

Hmm...

1. If you were moving across the country, and could only take 5 things with you, what would you take?

2. What book do you think has affected you the most?

3. You have one day all to yourself - no schedule, no commitments, nobody there who you don't want to be there. How do you spend it?

4. Would you ever agree to meet someone in real life who you first met online? Under what circumstances?

5. Would you rather be dumb but happy or brilliant but disfunctional?

Awesome, I was wondering where you'd gotten your username...I think I knew who the icon muppet represented, I just couldn't figure out why. That's a hilarious story, thank you.

:) You're one of a few, then - I've only had a handful of people figure out who the Muppet represented before I told them.

1. I love Chrysanthemum. I got some really good chrsyanthemum tea at TenRen in Winter Green Plaza in Rockville.

2. Nic jaeger. I would love to ask him question about his family, mainly about his cousins, step-dad and half-siblings. I would like to ask him questions about the music he listen to. If he feel uncomfortable being so far away from home ( he is from Oregon), if he thinks Catholic University is too conservative. What does he feel about drugs and sex.

James Blunt- Back to Bedland

Here, you're supposed to update your journal and put the answers in that journal, so that the meme can keep going!

Ok, I will post into my journal, after I write a long entry about my day lol. I guess I was a little confuse about the instructions lol

Oh, ammending my questions to suit your fancy, are we? That's not in the rules at all :-p. Interesting answers, though.

Just wanted to let you know that your movie came in yesterday, so I've got it. I was wondering if you'd want to watch it after dinner sometime later this week?

Oh, and you can interview me as well. just returning the favor ;-)

Well...they're still true to the original *spirit* of the questions, and the alterations are fairly minor...

Wednesday would probably be best; I've got a test to take Thursday night. I'll e-mail/call/text you with details. (also, I feel I should warn you that the movie came to me through a friend's recommendation, and as such I have no idea how good it actually is. So don't set your expectations really high)

Hmm...interview questions para ti...let's see...

1. First gun. What was it, and when did you get to use it? XD

2. No music for a year or no movies for a year. Which do you pick?

3. What's your favorite part of the extended Star Wars universe (i.e. something other than the movies)?

4. If you could delete a single person or event from history without causing major damage to space-time, who or what would it be? (Also, no fair picking obvious choices like the Holocaust.)

5. Would you make your own website (seperate from LJ)? What would you put on it if you did?

Wednesday (tommorow? today?) would be quite excellent for me. I have Club Sailing practice until 6/6:30, so anytime after then works for me :-)

I've got AT till about 8:00, so perhaps after that? I know it's late, but that's the last thing I have to do tomorrow night/tonight.

That would be fine with me. Any idea where you'd like to go...just so we can decide ahead of time this time?

posted by [identity profile] stunt-muppet.livejournal.com at 05:21am on 21/03/2007
well, if you don't mind me mooching the use of the office again, that seems like a logical spot.

posted by [identity profile] russianmissile.livejournal.com at 05:23am on 21/03/2007
That would work fine, I don't mind at all. When are you going to be eating before hand?

posted by [identity profile] stunt-muppet.livejournal.com at 05:32am on 21/03/2007
Probably the Union; I have to catch kind of a fast dinner there before my AT, so meeting up for dinner might not be the best idea this time. Sorry...

posted by [identity profile] russianmissile.livejournal.com at 05:33am on 21/03/2007
That's fine, we can still do the movie. What are you up to this weekend?

posted by [identity profile] stunt-muppet.livejournal.com at 05:42am on 21/03/2007
Heading home, actually; I shall tell you all about it on the way to the movie.

That you are, darling. XD And I am happy to oblige.

1. Lat's start with an easy one. Favorite ice cream flavor ever?

2. If you could bring one restaurant/museum/shop/etc. back from Europe and set it up near your home, what would it be?

3. If you could make one event in your life non-existent (i.e. it would never have happened), which would it be?

4. What is your favorite substitute word for "awesome"?

5. What is the one thing that you want to do before you die? (Pick the thing you want to do the most.)

I shall do that. Here we go:

1. Out of everything you have ever written, what are you the most proud of, and why?

2. Caffeinated beveridge of choice?

3. Would you rather live in complete isolation or in an overcrowded, polluted city?

4. Would you prefer to perfect your writing or your drawing skills?

5. If you could change one thing about yourself, what would it be?

Have you seen the "Special Letters Unit" tribute to SVU? That's where I figured you came up with your icon.

Incidentally, Munch's muppet is the one that looks most like the character

posted by [identity profile] stunt-muppet.livejournal.com at 03:59pm on 20/03/2007
Actually, yes, I have. That's how I ended up in the Law & Order section of the Muppet Wiki to begin with. :)

Muppet!Munch from SLU looks a bit more like Belzer than Sparky does, but again, the very idea of a stunt muppet was enough to win me over.
