LAST EXAM FINISHED LAST EXAM FINISHED I WIN.
*ahem*
I probably should be doing laundry and packing (my two Things To Do today), but instead I'm flopped out on my couch and grinning. I don't have to stay up late tonight studying and it's AWESOME. Whatever shall I do with my time?
This would be a good time to finally finish cleaning up Memory and Holding the Reins, but wouldn't you know it, for the first time in months I don't feel at all motivated to write anything; not even shameless review lust can stir me. Of course this happens after I've fought back the temptation to write all through exams, boo.
Revelation: While I found Borges terribly difficult during our class discussions (probably didn't help that I, ah, had reading yet to catch up on sometimes), I really enjoy his work while I'm reading it on my own, even if I don't always understand it. And I sort of do understand some of it, is the funny thing. He doesn't seem nearly as unapproachable as he did at first, and "Pierre Menard, Author of the Quixote" is really quite funny. Possibly this is a sign that I should do my reading on time and all.
Anyway, after 3 p.m. tomorrow I will be on the plane to FLORIDA OMG, and as I'm not taking my computer (maybe - there's a book I need to order and a project I need to work on) I probably won't have LJ access, so if I don't talk to you all before then, I will catch up with you when I get back.
