stunt_muppet: (I have the dumb)

Lay down for a nap at 3:00 today.

Set alarm for 5:00 so I'd still have time to study for the last Big Huge Exam tomorrow.

Woke up at 8:00 p.m. - after, of course, the dining halls had all closed, because apparently this isn't my week for eating properly.

*facepalm*

Also had a very bizarre dream where our Ecology class went down to a pond at the Lake Campus (Lake Campus does not, in fact, have a pond) and waded in with out shoes still on (I had only flip-flops and the pond was exceedingly muddy) to go find some sort of aquatic plant that, if it even touched your bare skin, would slowly turn you into one of its hosts (which involved turning you into a table for some inexplicable reason). Of course, the water was infected by whatever the plant had, so Ecology Professor told us very calmly that we all had to go home and sterilize ourselves, our clothes, and our shoes, as if this was absolutely not a big deal. Funnily enough, I didn't think it was a big deal either; I just remember feeling mildly annoyed because I had no idea how one would go about sterilizing flip-flops. They were nice flip-flops too, not my foam-and-rubber ones, so sterilization was something of a problem.

It took me about a half-hour after I woke up to convince myself this hadn't actually happened.

On a different note entirely, do you ever find that Diet Pepsi tastes funny if you re-refrigerate it after opening? I had about half a bottle of it last night, and now it tastes sort of stale. Not flat, mind you - just...stale, like there's something slightly off about it. Which is odd, given that soda doesn't go stale.

I have about four hours to memorize the full biography of every author we've studied in World History and every line of every critical essay we've read. Ta.

Whoo, nonsensical dreams! Aw man, I love flip flops. I finally got a new pair for the first time in a couple years. They're rubber ones, which I've avoided in the past, but surprisingly no-crappy ones, and with a toe-separator thong thingie that isn't so big it hurts to wedge in place. Yay! And having to get rid of flip flops is always tragic; I feel for dream!you.

Good luck cramming!

Thanks for the good wishes - cramming was not quite as arduous as I thought it'd be. :D

Most of the flip-flops I've got are rubber - Old Navy used to carry flip-flops with tiny thong-things, good for small feet - but these are my nice ones with fabric and straw and I never, ever get them wet. Dream!me was not happy. :(

I totally noticed that about Diet Pepsi and mine *does* go flat, no matter how tightly I twist the cap. It's even worse with Diet Coke, but not so bad at all with Coke Zero. (Yes, I tend to drink anything diet that contains caffeine.) :)

I've never had a Coke Zero sitting out long enough for it to go stale (but then, it tastes sort of odd to me, so I don't drink much of it), but this doesn't seem to happen as often with Coke. Huh.

And my poison of choice is Diet Mountain Dew. I feel for you. :D

Aquatic plant that turns people into tables? I think I remember that one from my ecology class. Just dip your flip-flops in a dilute appletini solution and they'll be fine. ;-)
