You know, I've just realized that the last three episodes of Inferno are basically a zombie movie, but with fire extinguishers instead of shotguns. I'm pretty sure there's a bit where the Doctor even tells the alt!Brig to save his ammunition.
Yeah, just got to that bit.
Also, it'd be too much to hope for that there'd be alt!Brig/alt!Benton fic, right? Yeah, I thought so too. But real!Brig just gave real!Benton a rather affectionate look after giving him permission to drag the cranky scientist from his own lab, so I'll content myself with that.
I miss Liz, guys. I wish she had a cameo in the new series. Hell, I wish she got more to do in her own stories. And oh, why doesn't everyone leave their collars unbuttoned all the time?
Must write that Liz meta I keep meaning to.

Speaking of Things to Watch While Essaying, I don't think I'll ever get tired of The Ark in Space. I'm thinking of watching the commentary track next, but I haven't heard it before, so that's probably not conducive to essaying.
I keep thinking I want to write a follow-up to "The Waiting-Room World", set after Ark, where Vira goes back to Earth and tries to cope with leading what remains of humanity and restoring the world (which isn't what she's been brought up to do or trained to do, and which she isn't sure how to cope with). Only trouble is that the rest of the characters would have to be OCs, although that'd be an interesting additional challenge.
Also I think I'd end up shipping Vira with the First Historian, whom she might end up turning to for guidance after she's revived. Though that seems sort of out-of-nowhere.
Something to consider after all the other stuff I'm supposed to be writing, I suppose.

Ah, Inferno, I love you so.

Sweet sparkly jeebus, I think I just read noncon and liked it. 8O

Teach me to link an old snippet without re-reading it first! ::blushes::

And hey, alt!Benton fic = good, and I'd never have known about it had you not pointed it out to me, so thanks!

And I hugely recommend any Tom/Lis commentaries, of which I'm pretty sure Ark in Space is one. XD

Now that I've turned in this confounded essay, I plan to spend some quality time with Tom and Lis. Lis on her own is quite brilliant (her Pyramids of Mars commentary was amazing), and I haven't...actually heard a Tom commentary yet. Fun times ahead!

Omg they're so cute. Tom pretty much makes random wild remarks (and I've heard he's particularly crazy in the Ark in Space commentary; I think that's the one where he says he can't remember a damn thing) and constantly dotes on Lis while she laughs at him. I have a lot of bits of their Planet of Evil commentary transcribed somewhere back on my journal. There was much squeeing.

Oh, Tom. He's quite mad, isn't he. But that's okay. :D I actually fell asleep before I could watch much of anything yesterday, but I'm looking forward to hearing them in action.
