Excellent recap and picspam! The flashlight tampon makes me think of the not-at-all phallic looking Master detector that Three uses in the Time Monster. Like you said in another comment, did no one on set, like, look at these props and think they weren't, uh, just a little bit wrong for a supposed family show? (I don't even know how Ainley!Master's TCE ever made it past the censors...)
