So Who!fandom has been a bit faily and stupid lately, and there's been page after page of pointless wank on the anonmeme, and while there's a lot I could say on a variety of topics (and some stuff I even perhaps will, under the safety of flock), there are more entertaining ways I could spend my time. Like, er, the homework I should be doing.

So I consider it my duty to point out that some kind anon has done fandom a favor and posted a picspam of The House that Dripped Blood, a 1971 horror movie starring Peter Cushing as a man haunted by a waxwork, Christopher Lee as the unfortunate father of a Creepy Glassy-Eyed Tyke (tm) and Jon Pertwee and Ingrid Pitt's cleavage as the pimpingest vampires ever to rock a pimphat. Witness! The unintentionally hilarious vampire makeup! SEE! Peter Cushing's architectural cheekbones! MARVEL! At the Eyebrows of Utterly Transparent Evil!

...well, it made me giggle, anyway.

Music:: "Falling for You" - Jem

Wow, that's when you know wank is a crap waste of life.

That cast list is too awesome. Christopher Lee and Jon Pertwee in the same movie and no one caught fire from the awesome?!

It's been the same damn troll for the past three pages, making the same argument. I'm pretty sure they're stirring up shit for fun and I no longer care enough to feed them. And dammit I already responded to that bullshit about Jo having an Electra complex. Don't make me do it again.

The cast list is epic. It's just an epic movie in general. It makes me happy that it exists (and is apparently on DVD, so Amazon tells me!). Alas, Pertwee, Lee, and Cushing don't get to interact, possibly because the univese couldn't handle that much awesome in one space and would have imploded.

I was wondering about that. Sounds reasonable.

Okay - now I HAVE to go find a copy of this. I had no idea... oh my...

It's pretty entertaining, both intentionally and...um...less than intentionally. But then, I have a not-entirely-ironic love for the B-movie genre and all who inhabit it, so your milage may vary.

Whoa. The Doctor and... the Doctor!

And Ingrid Pitt's boobs, of course.

Which reminds me - I must find my Cushing!Who box set and finish watching it, because those cheekbones are indeed amazing.

I not-so-secretly love Peter Cushing's cheekbones. They're so defined! So emphatically shaded!

And as I've seen no Cushing!Who myself, I highly encourage you to do so so I can hear all about it. :D

There's two movies with Cushing!Who, which I own in a box set. They're highly cracktastic, with colourful Daleks, baby!Susan, lava lamps and Bernard Cribbins.

If you're curious, [livejournal.com profile] redscharlach made these glorious screencap recaps of both movies: Dr. Who and the Daleks and Daleks' Invasion Earth: 2150 AD

Hee! I hadn't seen the screencap recaps! And wow, the movies are exactly as ridiculous as I thought they were. But Peter Cushing has lovely hair and an excellent pointy finger, so it's all good. :D

I'm sorry, I think I may have butchered Morrigan. But the important thing is that I tried.

Eeeee I has fanart! And it does look like her, I don't know what you're worried about. And it's so intense and alive and energetic and I love it so much!

Thank you! I'm so happy you felt inspired to do fanart for me! And, while it's been a while since I've written anything, I'm almost finished with that "happy sentences" meme I did a while back (yours is next up on the list), so hopefully that'll put me back in a creative mood so I can work on your fic!

I'm glad you like it! :D (We'll quietly overlook the fact that I was, as usual, several months late with it.)

I'm looking forward to reading the fic. :)
