...I bucked up and posted All Manner of Surprises on
whoniverse1000. Thus, it is now publicly posted in the ficbukkit. I'm still debating whether or not I'll put it up on
dwfiction, since I don't know if it's long enough to merit that, but once I give it a few more look-overs I'll put it up as a chapter in my ficlets on The Spoon as well.
Speaking of the ficbukkit: is anyone else having Issues with the Rich-Text journal editor? I keep having to wade back through the HTML and reapply LJ cuts and things, and it's a little annoying.
On to a different writing issue, because I'm not yet sufficiently calm and collected to talk about life: Since all the cool kids seem to be doing it, I've been thinking about setting up a beta filter. I've started to develop the unfortunate tendency of not waiting for my fic to be betaed before posting it, and that's Not Good.
It's not an obligation - I'm not asking you to beta anything for me right now. I'll just...throw first- or second-draft fics up under the beta filter for several people to nitpick, instead of looking for a specific single beta. Or even search for a beta via the filter, thus preventing me from spamming my non-writing flist. Or maybe I'd put up unfinished stuff, in the hopes of brainstorming and bouncing ideas off of you all. That sort of thing.
Anyway, I'm still not certain I'd even do it, but if you'd be interested in being added to the hypothetical beta filter, just leave a comment here.
(That said,
kayliemalinza, if you are perhaps not to busy at that faraway point in the future when Memory Chapter 2 gets finished, I should be honored to have you beta it for me, if it's not too much trouble.)
To dinner, then to call my mother, then to homework, then, hopefully, to bed.

Haha, I do try, dear. :D I've been meaning to write him for ages, but he's quite tricky to get down on paper without oversimplifying him.
Anyway, you're on the filter!

As for your issues with the rich text thing, if you're running FF like moi, you probably need to upgrade. There's some kind of issue with the ff-before-the-most-recent-ff; I've already talked to LJ about it. I think it's ff3 you have to upgrade to, but don't quote me on that. :)

I'm actually running IE, which might be the problem in and of itself. But you say the latest version of FireFox works fine with it?
(no subject)
Yeah, the newest ff has been happy as a clam with it. :)
