After two hours or so playing Eternal Darkness: Sanity's Requiem, the shouts of revelry coming from the frat parties outside start to sound a whole lot like the hopeless cries of the damned.

Oh, game. I've missed you.
Music:: "The Seeds of Death" on TV

AWESOME.

You know, my screen, before I scrolled down, just showed "The Seeds of" and now I even more want to rewatch The Seeds of Doom...again.

Nothing wrong with that - this is my fifth or sixth rewatch of The Seeds of Death, easy. It's what I watch when I want to feel happy inside. :D

Oh, but Muppet, dear, don't you know that this is the time at our school when those are the screams of the damned?

But I thought that wasn't until finals...

No, no, that's just when we officially acknowledge it with the Scream at midnight on Reading Day.

Hmmm. You'd think we'd have collectively figured it out sooner.

I think it has a lot to do with denial...

:D

The parties sound even more creepy echoing off the bleachers on the track, especially if there's a cloud sweeping across the sky and a raccoon is watching you, flash-eyed, from the crotch of a tree. ^^

Ooooh. I may have to try that tonight, provided I can find a cooperative raccoon.

...or a particularly large skunk appears in your path? Damn things are stealthy for their size.

You know what? That's what I meant. Skunk. Skunk =/= raccoon, omg.

The skunk that lives on the track is very stealthy, yet apparently, so am I. Countless times, I've nearly run over the damn thing. We both freeze, stare at each other for a moment, and then the skunk waddles off across the grass, unconcerned.

Well, seeing as how that skunk is totally the size of a large housecat at least, I can see how you might mistake the two...

Kaylie: lalala, ::listens to headphones:: omfg, there's a huge SKUNK right in front of me! Where the fuck did that come from?!

Huge skunk: ::waddlewaddle:: freeze ifIdon'tmoveshecan'tseemedon'tlookatmeha! there she goes! ::waddlewaddle::

That's pretty much how it happens, yeah. :P

BTW-- you guys remember that I'm driving up Tuesday afternoon/evening? I fly out Wednesday afternoon at 2:30, would like to be there around 1-- would either of you be able and willing to give me a drive to the airport? I know classes will probably be a problem. :/ My flight back gets in at 4:45 on Monday, and I can always hang around if you've got a late class, so that shouldn't be a problem.
