Sadly, even through college, I couldn't manage to make myself nap unless I'd had a couple all-nighters in a row. Even then, I'd only give myself up to bothering with it sometimes, and only if I have at least a two hour window (four hours max, probably), because otherwise there's just no point taunting yourself.

I have friends who's sleeping habits comprised of coming home from their day and taking an evening nap that extended into the middle of the night, then waking up grumpy every time about oversleeping, and then going to bed near dawn and being asleep till the early afternoon if they're schedule permitted. I DO NOT EVER WANT TO BE LIKE THAT. I'm always afraid sleep will inhale my life, and I'd rather spend even my relaxation time actual doing something, even if it's frivolous.

Heh, during finals two semesters ago, those were my sleeping habits - I did all my work at night, pulled all-nighters basically every night, and slept till 3 p.m. after I'd turned in my work. It was miserable and I've promised myself I'll never do it again.

That said, the frequency with which I end up staying up nights means I've kind of had to learn how to nap. I started in my freshman year after staying up two days straight for some reason or another, and now it's just become habit. I don't do it very often, but the concept is no longer strange and foreign to me.

I mean they had those sleeping habits without there being finals. o0 And I was notorious for habitual all-nighters throughout college and most of the time I still couldn't pull off a nap.
