...cuz that's how I roll.
This week's SVU has been added to the list of shows that I must squee about further at the end of the week.
Because it was just oh so deserving of squee. (Yes, I've been using that word a lot. That's because it's a pretty much perfect word for how my TV's been making me feel recently.)
First off, my irritation at the fact that Munch never even showed up and Fin had one line was (partially) balanced by the fact that Warner and Huang actually got substantial roles and Cragen got to do something. That's rare enough (especially for Warner) that it almost makes up for the lack of my two daily sources of Awesome. Almost.
Also, my hopes have been confirmed and Mr. Elwes is still his fantastic self. He does a good NY accent, for one thing. And the range of emotions he displays...just wow. I was very impressed.
And Elliot's thread in this episode? Amazing. I have to admit, I was pretty sure that this time he'd really got himself in trouble, and his getting off was just the tiniest bit convenient. But he's still got to deal with the stigma of being the media's "killer cop". That can't be good.
And his scene at the end? The "I want to come home" scene? I got choked up all over again. Yes, his getting back with Kathy and the Stablerlings messes up my E/O fantasies. But it was just so darn sweet that I don't care. We now have another character that I desperately want to reach through the screen and hug.
All I need now is for this week's CSI, L&O, and Monk to be this good. :) (Tragically, I was forced to miss House this week due to circumstances beyond my control. No such thing shall occur next time.)
