First off, Happy Birthday,
biichan, and best wishes for the coming year!
Second, maybe if I post this in public, the WTF will spread to others and therefore dissipate. It's something to hope for.
It's come to my attention that WALL-E already has a fandom. Which puzzles me a bit, since I don't recall Ratatouille or The Incredibles garnering fannish attention this quickly, but hey.
Now, fairly new to fannish discourse that I am, I've never had the chance to observe a fandom in its truly nascent stages, so I thought it would be interesting to observe this phenomenon and, perhaps, make a few predictions as to the fate of this newborn fragment of fandom.
Note: The following poll may contain disturbing concepts, brainbreak, and unsettling thoughts about cartoon robots. It is also absolutely not meant to be taken seriously. Please proceed accordingly.
[Poll #1223686]
...Er. Yeah. Sorry about that.
Also, I may have found yet another TV show to fall in love with: Middleman is full of geeky, offbeat fun, has a simply adorable pair of protagonists, and is cracked-out enough to include things like trout-craving zombies. I might just be hooked.
