That's possibly the one thing I didn't miss about being home - my house is ALWAYS cold, my bedroom especially so. Doesn't help that the weather's been a bit crap recently; it was misting or outright raining all through exams, the World's Shortest Monsoon started almost as soon as I left the school proper, and now it's cold and windy up here in home-land. WTF, May. I had just put my sweaters away and everything.
Portable GPS systems are a gift from God, though, for which I am appropriately grateful. Especially ones that talk, and recalculate your route if you make a wrong turn.
As you may have gathered, I made it home in one piece without getting too lost (only required directions from Dad once). Granted, I started late, had to stop for the night (which I don't have to do when my parents are driving), started late again the next morning, and spent the entirety of Home Highway in a state of brain-frying terror, but hey. I made it. That's something.
I should be unpacking, but I'm not, of course. I have, however, managed to convince Brother to take me to see Iron Man tomorrow in exchange for me taking him to Starbucks before school. It's sort of a silly bargain, since I'm going to be the one driving him to the theater and likely paying for his ticket, but it means that I won't being going to the movies alone. I should be able to start Doing Things with my friends at home tomorrow or shortly thereafter.
*lounges* My dog is poking at me and trying to smell everywhere I've been by inspecting my clothes. It's good to be home.
