And am now the proud and happy owner of a corset/bustier, which in a pinch could double as a shirt if I ever a) lose a bit of weight and b)become temporarily insane and go to a bar/nightclub in my later years.
I am also not allowed to touch money for the next six months, except possibly for groceries.

In other news, my attempts at finishing those H/M 20 ficlets have morphed once again into meta. They tend to do that; I'm not sure why. Unfortunately, it also turned into incomplete and awkward meta what's not ready to be shared with anyone. But we'll see how it turns out.
Considering my widely-disseminated dislike for and ineptitude at writing sex, I have no idea why one of those ficlets is slowly becoming R-rated, nor why that R-rated ficlet is developing its own substantial chunk of meta. Huh.
On other ficcing horizons, writing good Doctor Who fic continues to be an incredible amount of work. I've got an idea that I think might actually be rather good, but I can't write it yet because there's a lot more research to be done - both characterization-research and fact-checking. (Fact-checking, here, means clicking back and forth through Google Maps, wondering where the frak Katimbang is and why no one apparently thought to take pictures at the peak of Mount Everest..) And, now that I'm at home and not using my own computer, characterization-research becomes a bit harder to do, since it involves kicking everyone else off the desktop for an hour or two.
Not to mention I've managed to waltz headlong into the swamp that is UNIT dating. Gah.
Also, I seem to have this thing where I can't write on anything except my laptop. I'm not sure where that came from.

My query about DivX player still stands, especially since a DivX-dependent website looks to be the only reliable way I could catch up on L&O Season 18. So...buggy? Unreliable? Virus-ridden? Any complaints about DivX player at all?
And now I'm going to bed.

I've missed quite a few episodes of L&O recently, on account of being distracted, forgetting the new schedule, and having a lot of homework Wednesday nights. Thankfully, being at home solves all those issues, so I got to tune in tonight.
And...

...what.
What do you mean Mike's slept with Dr. Olivet? I mean, the two certainly had chemistry when they appeared onscreen together, particularly in CI, but wasn't he her patient fairly recently? I thought Dr. Olivet didn't believe in sleeping with her patients. Mabe she isn't treating him anymore?
I mean, I've other thoughts about the episode, of course, but...Mike and Dr. Olivet. I don't even know if I can process that right now.
