I have, at last, dispatched the evil evil creature responsible (partly) for the death of my compy. See, I was worried that in my 4 am delirium I had, you know, hallucinated the spider or something, which would have been rather pathetic because the only thing worse than killing your computer over a spider is killing your computer over an imaginary spider.
But no, my sightings were confirmed Wednesday morning, when I woke up with a great big sore spider bite on my thigh. I managed to maintain composure and not think about how the spider was still in my room and crawling all over me while I slept with its icky icky feets and managed to sleep peacefully in my own bed that night.
The next day, my arachnid nemesis emerged from behind my bed roundabout mid-afternoon, as I attempted to do my homework. And with a swift and terrible vengeanceand allowing myself only a tiny little shriek I did fetch a paper towel and smite that spider, smite it good.
All is well in Muppet-land.
Anyway, I'd go into more detail about my Parent's Weekend adventures with my mommy (who came up to visit), but one of the things my mom and I discussed was that I had to cut down on my computer time so I could go outside and try having a social life. That way I won't be, you know, completely inept when the time comes for me to go out in the Real World.
My mom told me that I should try to cut down to an hour a day. Yeah. Um. So I may not be here quite as often.
Suffice it to say that I have bought awesome new shoes and awesome new jeans, and that after a long, gruesome fight, I was AT LAST triumphant over that Bio Project That Wouldn't Die. It is finished. It is done. And, according to my teacher, I did really well. I explained everything thoroughly, didn't even need my notecards for the second paper, and managed to get everyone really bored with explaining equations. :)
And I finished my math test on time. And did pretty well, apparently. Now the only thing I have to catch up on is Drawing work that I missed. Which I should be able to do. I think.
And then there's all that major and study-abroad and next-semester planning. Yeah. Um. This is gonna be a weird week.
