"We should probably talk about the other night."
Okay, never mind. Time to go for the exit.
Except he can't go for the exit, because Shiro's standing right next to it. He's not blocking the way out, so Lance could bolt if he really had to, but he'd have to walk right by him to do it and it would be almost as uncomfortable as just having the conversation. All of which, Lance reflects, is probably on purpose.
