I applied for...97 positions (oh yeah, I was shotgunning at ANYTHING I looked remotely qualified for!) before I landed this one. The runaround and string along is awful. Especially the jobs where they already know who they're going to hire (this is probably what the real sitch about the VA job is) but because of Equal Opportunity laws, they have to interview X number of others. It's completely lousy for those X number of people!!

Last December my laptop DIED. So I totally empathize with that agony, too. :C
