stunt_muppet at 06:52pm on 28/12/2006Yes, there's a good reason I haven't been here a couple of days and I didn't put up a "Merry Christmas" journal. I was spending the holidays with my family. You know. Those people I live with in real life. Yeah. Them.
But Merry Late Christmas, or whatever you celebrate. Don't celebrate anything? Happy Late Chinese-Food-and-Movies Day. And Happy New Year if I don't put up another journal before then. Love you all so much.
Spent Christmas with my family. We went to the Children's Mass on Christmas Eve, even though we're all far too old for the pageant and are at the age where screaming toddlers are more annoying than endearing. We're probably going to do the midnight Mass next year, but still, it was kind of nostalgic and fun. And a bunch of small children dressed up as shepherds and angels singing off-key is still pretty cute.
We slept in Christmas morning, had a leisurely breakfast of cinnamon rolls, and gave each other our presents.
After years of resistance I've finally joined the iPod zombies. She's a pink Nano. Her name's Pearl, because I have no imagination. I have not yet made my own shameliess rip of the silhouetted iPod advertisement.
Mom got Henry World of Warcraft. Turns out she had no idea that a) You have to keep paying for WoW after you buy it and b) WoW consumes lives. If my little bro ever gets it working, we might never see him again.
Mommy was kind to me and bought me Shameless Mancandy 2. I squealed like a small child.
My brother's godfather got us Lego Star Wars 2: The Original Trilogy. It's the cutest darn thing since...well, since Lego Star Wars 1. the scene where Obi-Wan dies is priceless. If I can find screencaps of it I might be making some icons.
I've started to write and draw again after weeks of inactivity. Mostly drawing, though; my writing's been limited to one-shot fanfictions that aren't particularly good. My incessant CSI and L&O scribbling has led to some good results, though. I might just put them up when I'm finished with them.
I've also started working at my old job again. Mom's been pestering me to start looking for a more career-oriented job; I've been avoiding doing so because I'd rather not think about the fact that in three and a half years I'm going to have to get a real job and a real house and start living a real life. What a frightening prospect. Anyway, they still had a spot for me at my old job, and everyone was glad to have me back.
Although I have to admit, I might scream if someone else asks me if I have a boyfriend yet. I've only been in college for *one semester*, people. Give me some time.
I still have gifts to wrap, beadthings to make, et cetera. But I shall see you all soon, no doubt about that!
